The atmosphere? Informal, entrepreneurial and ambitious. Finance holds a strong position within the organization and has a voice in everything. You will be based at our headquarters in Breda, working closely with the CFO and three colleagues in the controlling team, as well as the accounting team.

As a Business Controller at Optimum Group™, you will act as a sparring partner for the Executive Board and Management Team, operating at the heart of a dynamic international private equity environment. This means significant autonomy, combined with the agility to switch gears quickly. From an ad-hoc request in the morning to a fully developed analysis by the end of the day — you handle it with ease.

What you will do

You are responsible for the financial performance of two sites and will be part of their Management Teams.
You support and challenge site directors on their P&L and CAPEX decisions, presenting your insights in a clear and persuasive manner.
You oversee the planning and control cycle, including management reporting, forecasts and budgets.
You effortlessly alternate between strategic advisory and hands-on execution.
You provide input on investment cases and business development projects.
You help prepare the organization for current developments such as CSRD reporting requirements.

What we demand

A completed degree in Finance or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
Experience as a Business Controller, Financial Controller or Auditor — experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong plus.
A solid accounting foundation: you are able to post journal entries, calculate margins and think in terms of cash flows.
You are resilient under pressure and able to handle ad-hoc requests and tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills, results-driven, and a connector who brings Management Team members along in your analyses.
Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
