We are therefore looking for a sustainability officer who will be the expert within Optimum Group in the field of sustainability in the broadest sense of the word.

What does this job entail and what we offer you

You ensure that our business operations meet applicable international legislation, sustainability and compliance criteria. You frequently come into contact with many internal and external stakeholders. In doing so, you are able to bring the organisation along with the ever-changing regulations. You take the lead in further developing the sustainability strategy that suits the Optimum Group. The sustainability officer works together with various departments and guides the 7 Dutch and 1 Belgian site to identify sustainable initiatives and integrate them into business processes. You also supervise sustainable projects at clients.

What we demand

We are looking for a new colleague who wants to help build the Optimum Group's sustainability policy full-time (30-40 hours) and independently. We also consider it important that you have broad knowledge of sustainability, can communicate this knowledge effectively and are experienced in stakeholder management. You will also bring the following

completed HBO education, preferably in the field of environmental science;
experience with ESG, Social and Governance (ESG), and Corporate Sustainability Reporting directive;
experience with Carbon Footprint calculations & Life Cycle Analysis (LCA);
good communication skills;
strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
a customer-oriented and pro-active attitude; ability to work independently. You enjoy passing on your knowledge and experience to others and you seek cooperation with colleagues and clients.
